TRYOUTS:

HBA tryouts are Saturday 3/16 at Royals Activity Center (“RAC”) at Hopkins High School.  Logistics:

  • All 13U and 14U players needed be registered for the 2024 season before 11:59 p.m. on March 15 in order to attend tryouts.  Registration is now closed for 13U and 14U. Any 15U players who have not registered but want to, should contact HBA Registrar to request a link. 15U tryouts are on April 28.
  • 13U players should arrive at 12:40 p.m. to get checked in.  Look for the adult near the RAC entrance. Don’t proceed down to the gym floor until you are checked in. The entire group will head down together.  The 13U tryouts are slated to run from 1:00-3:30 p.m.
  • 14U players should arrive at 3:10 p.m. to get checked in.  Look for that same adult by the RAC entrance.  Same drill.  The 14U tryouts are slated to run from 3:30-5:00 p.m., but we will get started earlier if we can.
  • Players should be dressed in athletic attire and bring their baseball gloves, bats, helmets, etc.  If we are able to use the outdoor HS turf field, bring a sweatshirt/warm-up jacket as necessary.
  • Parents should support their players with a positive/confidence-inspiring drive to the RAC, then drop them off drop them off at the RAC entrance.  HBA will take it from there. Parents are not allowed to observe tryouts.  Thank you in advance for your compliance.
  • Please make every effort to have your player attend tryouts on Saturday.  Players with known absences have already been evaluated in a manner consistent with Tryout Day, and there will not be a make-up event.
  • Teams will be announced as soon as possible after Saturday 3/16, and rosters will be posted at www.hopkinsbaseball.com

If you have any questions, please contact HBA President Mike Frodermann.
